Wild Gold & Green Tetras wont eat pellets or flakes

@fishorama They are green neons and gold tetras yes hehe :3 Well guys thanks so much for the advice- I think it's gonna be okay, today I fed them and hid in a corner of the room and after 5 min once the food started falling down it looked like at least a few of them were popping about...

Wild Gold & Green Tetras wont eat pellets or flakes

thanks, yeah i dunno i'd have to go out into a store to get frozen, i will if i absolutely have to... but it's more like they hide so much they don't even try to come out and SEE the food, they stay so low and hidden they never see it, i think maybe a few of them have gotten a bite of a pellet...

Wild Gold & Green Tetras wont eat pellets or flakes

I'm assume it's because they are wild, they are not used to eating pellets or flakes...what can I do? They're sooooo shy, they hide in the very back of the tank even though it's planted with a bunch of swords and crypts in a 20g L, getting driftwood to make it a bit more dense. I did see I may...

Advice for Plants for 65g and 20g Long

Hello! I'd appreciate some advice on plants for my tanks. :) My 20G long so far has only been a quarantine tank and has fake plants. NICREW Deluxe LED Aquarium Light, Full Spectrum Fish Tank Light for Planted Tanks, 30 to 36-inch, 28-Watt, 1800 LM, 7500K Light. I'd love to get something easy...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

Nematobrycon lacortei Yeah that's them. Would they actually school with the purple emperors? I think I read somewhere someone actually had difficulties with the two getting along, even though they're so similar. I'd love to get some emperors tho. And it'd be nice if I could order the rainbows...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

Just an update. He wouldn't eat from the net and then strainer I sequestered in him in my main tank. I hadn't set up a hospital tank again because I only had a broken filter, but I ordered a new one and it arrived today so he is now in a 10 gallon hospital tank with the filter seeded with some...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

@angelcraze Thanks so much! I had already been using some salt to treat the ich, though I didn't dose any last water change. I just ordered metroplex+focus+garlic guard. I only have anubias and they are tolerating everything fine. I will add salt again. My plan is to sequester him in the net...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

Thank you, Hmm. Yeah I hadn't any problems with any other of the fish and water parameters were great until I introduced new fish and some of them died a couple days later in the tank. He looked emaciated prior to this. Then the ich broke out :( Ich is almost gone, and water parameters seem...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

Update. Caught him pooping. Is this white stringy poo a confirmation of an internal parasite? If so is there a medication I can feed him while the tank is being treated with Paraguard for ich? I'm confident I could keep him isolated in a large net. Thank you @NoodleCats @FreshyFresh

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

Aw thanks for this advice. Yeah he's been like this a while and nobody else had symptoms anything like him. He just looks so sad though. Which is why I was considering clove. It breaks my heart either way. I've had a tough time with the fish losses I've had in the past month. As corona rages...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

I don't think so. But over time I think he never grew like the others did. His shape is different and he's smaller. Could be he's had an internal parasite all this time...sad I didn't realize this sooner. To be honest id rather not set up a separate tank for him if I can avoid it, if feeding...

    He definitely ate tonight!

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

@Sunlight @NoodleCats Thank you. So would treatment be something like metroplex+ focus + garlic guard for internal parasites or do you have another rec? I am not quite sure if he is eating or not, he hasn't seemed to go for food. I'll keep an extra close eye on him tonight. I still have 3...

Debilitated Diamond - should I put down?

In the first picture you see my unhealthy diamond and in the second a healthy one. This poor guy has always been like this. I don't think he ever eats enough and he gets picked on by the other diamonds. I'm currently treating the tank for unrelated ich when i introduced new fish (lesson...

    Quietest HOB for a 10g?

Hearing all sorts of conflicting info on Penguins, AquaClear, TetraWhisper.. I'm super sensitive to sound so quietest is my priority - motor and waterfall included. I'm leaning toward a penguin based on what I've read. Ive had both..my aquaclears tended to get rattly. I dont remember the...

    Diamond Tetra Sexing

Maybe that one up there is a female. But now I'm 99% certain I have 4 males and 3 females, based not only on the color but the shape of their dorsal, even if it's ever so subtle at this point, I think I can see the difference now. :) Now I think I know what to look for in the future if I cared...

    Diamond Tetra Sexing

@fishorama no those weren't my fish, just ones I found online that showed the darker coloration. As far as I know diamonds are mostly silver/purpleish, those dark ones stood out to me which is why I was wondering if there was a darker version. If there is, I'd love to get a separate school of...
