Thanks! The foreground plant is dwarf sagittaria. I originally planted it with glossostigma, but instead of it growing like the thick carpet that I wanted, it grew tall & lanky... so I pulled it all out and replanted the sag.

The turtle was captive bred in Germany and I acquired it through a dealer in FL.

so, I got curious and did a google search... it looks like formosus is the protected species... it does look similar to yours though...

There are two pieces of driftwood in there right behind the foreground plants... you can kind of make out the one on the right, but the one on the left is covered in java moss. I thought about removing them and replacing with a more "branchy" type of wood, but since it is so well established...

This is my indoor pond. It's about 60 gal and houses a breeding colony of swordtails and a south american snake neck turtle. Surprisingly, the swordtails have managed to reproduce faster than the turtle can eat them; however, the population definitely dwindles when I don't keep the turtle fed...
