IME wild caught corys are definitely more shy. But I have 5 albino corys (2 are offspring of the first 3!) that have as much character as the angels in the same tank. I love corys and their silly little whiskers!

sorry, but when my betta did the whole flaring thing for the first time, I wanted to change his name from Gregor to Scary-Dino-from-Jurassic-Park. coolest thing ever!!! oh and Gregor is a deep red and his gills look black too. and he's doing just fine. :)
