That is definitely a common long fin bristlenose. She should max out at 3-4 inches. 5" would be pretty big. I have had these for 5+ years and bred them. Awesome little things to watch. They just need wood, and they won't bother your plants much.

BN's have been so overbred over the years, that it is possible you have a culmination of varieties. Nice looking little guy, but hard to differentiate types anymore. (Except albino, versus colored). You could breed it with any type you find and you might get something completely different. You...

New higher power LED's will get you the depth you need. Pay a little more up front, and pay less later. Omit the T5's and start saving in the long run.

I've used fenbendazole with great results in the past. The important thing is that you retreat after two weeks(?). When worms fall out into gravel, they don't always disappear. Good luck! Unfortunately, if your fish have had this for awhile and get impacted, they won't survive. Hope you have time.

I also have many types of rainbows intermingling. Never had a problem with aggression. I also like the variety of colors and believe it or not, they hang out in different levels of the tank. Not all at the top, middle, or bottom. Great fish, not smart by any means, but they are attention hogs.

Salt baths will do nothing for columnaris. Kanamycin is excellent and you do need to keep the temps down. If it stays hot, the disease will take over and be fatal to your fish quickly.
