Hope this works not very good at posting pics but here's the batch of babies from the crays
There appears to be at least two different batches based on their size, maybe three.
Yesterday looking in my tanks before work I noticed one of my marbled crays had babies. I counted 12 swimming in the tank and can only imagine that there are more hiding in all the crevices. I'm gonna try to get a couple pics in a bit and put them up here.
What number would be average for a...
Well, I was told by the seller to expect these Rams to breed in a months time but I really was not expecting it so soon. It has only been a couple weeks since I got them and today they dug out a depression in the sand and started laying eggs. So far as I can tell, there is already 100 or more...
Okay, so of all things to find in my tank this morning it had to be the one that I find completely disgusting.

It was hitch hiking on a shrimp in a grow out tank for my guppies and detached after I netted the shrimp.
Is there...
Thanks for the replies, I kinda thought it was just a normal pond with a color variation. Really interesting that the spots look blue. I was going to go scoop some goo this weekend but we have had a lot of rain the past 2 days and the creeks/rivers are all muddy. May have to wait til next...
Looking for a large quantity of normal guppies to start breeding as feeders for my turtles. No luck with the LFS for the last 2 months, now they don't even get feeder variatus anymore, only goldfish and rosy's, which my turtles don't eat.
Turtles get a variety of other foods, but I still need...
If any is still available I'll give it a whirl.
I have a nano tank with snails and shrimp I would like to try it in so I would like the calcium type to try please. I would also probably try some in my snail tank I use to feed my turtles from, Rams, pond and (a few lonely) MTS.
You make good points, hadn't thought about the future release yet. I will definitely look into it first.
My first thought when I saw the little guy was, "How did he get along so far? So small." Natural order would suggest that he wouldn't survive long in a natural setting, that's why I figured...
So about 3 a.m last night a customer comes into the store and he is carrying an orange sand castle bucket, the kind shaped like a castle, you know what I mean.
Anyway, he comes in and sets this bucket down by the counter and says I brought you something. Looking into the bucket I see a baby...
I have some guppies and mollies along with a marmokreb in a 10 gallon tank at 78 deg, atm no other particulars on the tank as I have no test kit (will buy one today).
The tank has been up and running for more than 3 months. There are 3 guppies (adult) and 9 mollies (2 adult and the rest are...
Thanks daisy. I'm not really worried about the nutrition but I like to have a few feeders in the tank to give the turtles (and myself) some entertainment.
That, and the LFS said they have no idea when they will be able to get guppies/variatus feeders so I was hoping someone could give me a...
I have diamondback terrapins.
They get a medley of foods including feeders, mysis shrimp, reptomin, zoomed, crickets, snails, etc.
Honestly I think the channel cat in the tank is eating most of the feeders. 8 inches and fat as a hog.
