My Lapradei bichir recently developed a condition that’s causing its scales to peel off. At first, I thought they might have been fighting, but then I noticed it was more widespread (as shown in the photo). I’ve tried asking other bichir keepers, but it seems no one has encountered this disease...

On the top of his tail, I notice a white area a few weeks ago which has gradually raised. You can see it just before his tail starts, above the black marking on his side. At first I thought maybe it was just part of his markings until it became more of a small lump.
