I have a 10 gallon aquarium all set up and ready to go. The tank has been through the cycling process and is awaiting fish. I have all the necessary items and supplies.I have waited a while before getting my fish so I can study the different types of fish. I don't want to get any type of fish not suitable for my size aquarium. I love all types of fish. But I want a fish thats hardy and loves the company of others. I have a few species in mind, but I'll need others opinions before I get my fish. Seeing as I'm going to Petsmart today I have to make my mind up fast. Below are some of the fish I'm interested in. Feel free to give me your opinion.

Gold Barbs
White Cloud Mountain Minnows
Golden Apple Snail
Rosy Red (Fathead) Minnow

I have White Cloud Mountain Minnows and you can't go wrong with them. They are easy to keep, extremely hardy and do well in a room temperature aquarium. In a ten gallon you could probably keep ten minnows or so. They spawn easily and love java moss and hornwort, two very easy to keep live plants. Good Luck!

White Clouds also do well with snails too. I have pond snails in my twenty gallon (came with the plants LOL) and the White CLouds leave them alone.

I removed the shells and added a few more plants. Is it ok to have that rock in there? I want to try to include snails in my stocking ideas since I never had any.

White Clouds don't mind rocks; in fact you could put java moss around the rock. The rock would provide a good place for the moss to grow.

Do they mind temperatures in the 70's or room temperature. I want to include an applesnail. Would it mind the 10 gallon at all?

Don't get too many to start. Since you know about cycling you know that you don't want to add all of the inhabitants all at once. I would start with three or four White Clouds.
