I have a ten gallon tank.. I have 2 platys 3 neon tetras 2 gold barbs and an algea eater. Is this much? i've had it for awhile now and they are doing pretty good so far..

you should add more neons, and get rid of the algae eater! thet can get to be 10" long!

Agreed. If you have male and female platies, be prepared for kids. The baby platies might overstock your tank.

ottos grow to 1" and are "algae eaters". You don't have enough info to assume this fish grows to 10". You should have asked this question before jumping to conclusions:

what kind of algae eater is it?

I think its a Pleco algea eater.. Umm i forgot to mention i also have a small Bala shark in there. I got it before i knew they required big tanks. but, its doing really good so far. Oh and a small freshwater red crab that i want to get rid of.

If its a common pleco, it will get very large. Hes gotta go too, sorry!
