I have 3 Jack Dempseys, 2 Green terrors, and 2 Green Severum in the tank. Everything in the tank looks good. All the fish are around 3 inches long and no one fights with one another. Is this a good idea having all these cichlids in the same tank togehter? My tank is heavily planted and has lots of hiding places. Thanks for your time.

I suspect that this will get a little tight before too long. I think the severums may get picked on first and then the other fish will try to stake out territores and it may get ugly. You may want to cut the amount of fish by half at some point.

I think you have some time, but it might get cut shorter if you end up having them pair off male/female. Try to keep their line of sight broken up as much as possible.
