I switched from a 6500K spiral bulb to an 18 watt Life-glo and an 18 watt flor gro and added DIY c02 to my little 10 gallon planted and it has gone crazy!

I wish whatever the tall reddish stem plants were would grow straight, they are all growing towards the middle and it looks a little messy.

they're probably not going to. ludwigia has a reputation for that growth pattern...

That is a bummer, I love the way they look all straight and clean in this tank. I might have to try a different stem.

I just trimmed it and have a ton of them left over, I wish I could get it to grow in my 75, but no such luck!

Awesome! CO2 is pretty cool. I have had several of those Walmart plant buds floating around in there for a week now and nothing but a few hairs growing on them, after 1 day of CO2 I have a little sproutling! Good luck

Looks nice & healthy! If you want straight stems, look into rotala - I had rotala macranda and that stuff grew straight up... but it has been known to be finicky to grow. I bought it purpley-red but it pretty much grew a brown/green because my setup wasn't ideal.

Wow, amazing.. I have been looking for a new lighting fixture for my ten gallon.. what kind is yours? is it the hagen Glo?
