125 gallon questions

Actually scratch that, I'll put the cartridge from the top fin 40 into my top fin 60 and use that.
 
Then I would move the jd right over. It should be fine. Then cautiously add your fish over time.
 
^^ +1 ^^ Also make sure to keep up on water changes and monitor your nitrite and ammonia levels
 
Tank is set up and going good. I added my krib to test the waters, and she is doing good but will be going back to the 37 when I get fishies tommorow. I picked up a bunch of plants, a deep blue sea sponge filter (rated for up to 125), a wicked nice driftwood centerpiece and some flourite substrate. The guy at the store (Tropical Isle, was a wicked big place and seemed to have good staff) reccomended that I put the flourite in "pockets" around where the plants are, and then filling over it with PFS. I took his advice, and set up the tank that way. I had a LOT of cloudiness at first, but a nice big water change and some time has cleared most of it up.

I got a 60 dollar gift certificate to go back (we spent a LOT there), so I'm thinking about picking up the eartheaters there. They had some very nice Jurupari juvies there, about .5" to 1" bigger than my JD. Would 4 of these guys work with the JD? I plan on going tommorow, as the gift certificate expires on sat. So right now my stocking plan is:

-The JD (1.5"-2" currently)
-4 Jurupari (2"-2.5" currently)
-4-6 Pictus (Not sure on this number)

My filtration will be the Deep Blue sponge filter and my marineland C360. I plan on getting 10k watt bulbs at Petco tommorow, and plan on making a custom hood/canopy eventually. Let me know what you guys

Jurupari are floating (in bags thank god, they're not floating floating) in the 125, gonna move my JD over tonight and get pictus tommorow. My plan is to qt the pictus for 2 weeks to make sure I don't introduce ick or anything else that's nasty. Does a temp of 80 sound good for the Jurupari, JD and pictus?
 
JD was added 30 minutes ago, he's getting along awesome with the Jurupari. For awhile he was "schooling" with them, and was even picking at the sand trying to sift it! It's pretty funny (at least to me) to watch him follow them around. He's been a little aggressive, he just kinda flared and gave a little bit (6" max) of a chase to the Jurupari, who back off a little bit but don't let him push them around. The Jurupari either all school, or have 1 seperated from the rest doing his own thing. (Usually this one is the biggest.)

I'm getting the pictus tommorow, and they'll go into my 55 for qt.
 
Pictus are in the qt tank, I got 4. The JD and Jurupari are doing great, I'm having a hard time getting the jurupari food though. Would something like wafers work for feeding the Jurupari, or should I keep trying NLS pellets and Omega 1 flakes?
 
Well, the pictus are still in the 55g and everyone else is doing fine. I'm thinking of bringing the pictus back and getting a Birchir or ropefish, as I've heard nothing but bad things about mixing the pictus with the juvie Jurupari from people online. I'm now thinking for stocking: 4 Jurupari, 1 JD, 1 Ornate Birchir

Does this sound good, or can I get more Birchir? Or is there another fish you guys would reccomend?
