125 gallon questions

A senegal bichir should be fine since they stay smaller. What's the current stock as of now? JD and a group of jurupari right?

Yup, the pictus went back to the store. Counting everything right now I have:

125: 4 Jurupari, JD
55- Weather Loach
37- X-Rays, Pair of Kribs, Khuli Loaches
10-empty
10-empty

There's no fry in there, the Jurupari are a good 2", and the JD is at least 3" now. (He's grown and colored up unbelievably now that he has tankmates)

First time seeing the tank since saturday, somebody decided to turn the lights off (THEY WERE ON A TIMER FOR A REASON) and some of the plants are looking beat up. The fish are doing good, I doubt that they've been fed but they all look bigger. The JD has grown an inch or two in the time the 125 has been set-up, he's getting huge! One of the Jurupari looks kinda beat up, he appears to have been nipped on the tail. Everyone else looks fine, and they all ate happily when I feed them some flakes.

I'm planning on getting a birchir whenever my local Petco gets them in, as I have tons of giftcards there still. I think that I'm getting new lights this weekend too, I'm thinking that 10k bulbs will work the best, if you guys think otherwise then speak up! There's two 24" bulbs on the tank, each is in their own 36" aqueon fixture. (Keeping the fixture the same for now)

LFS's have yet to get in a senegal birchir, I'm thinking about getting a pleco instead. What kinds would you guys reccomend?

The dude at the fish store said that they plan on getting some Royal plecos, do you guys think these would work for the 125? They also had gold spot plecos, but I didn't grab one because I wasn't sure what size they got to.

In terms of fancy plecos I'd say get one you like the looks of and then see what its requirements are to see if they'll match your tank mates. Personally I've had great luck with Green Phantoms (L200s) but my bushy noses are great too. Just realize with plecos you get a lot of poop!

Yep, I'm planning on adding another canister as these guys get bigger. Do you think that the JD would mess with bushy nose plecos? Green Phantoms are sweet, I'll have to try to find some locally.

Ps. I fed bloodworms today, and everyone's colors look awesome! They all even ate rather nicely, no aggression still.
