12G Future Neon Tetra Fish Bathroom (Work in Progress)

Niko is right on! More photos please!

Thanks. If you're attempting to revive interest and revive posts... well I guess it worked. ;)

The update is that... well the tank looks pretty different now. For one thing, the tank is sitting on a white piece of wood for stability. It has new silk plants since those pretty ferns completely dissolved in the bleach bath. *lol*

I am looking to add some real floating plants soon, and when that's done, I'll have some new pics up. One of these days I'll get around to finishing the Bathroom as well... putting the fish on the wall, and putting "seaweed" all over the fishtank stand, etc. But I find I'm more fascinated at what's happening in the tank, rather than the overall look of being underwater, like I originally planned.

Also, putting a fish tank next to the toilet is not great for keeping kinks out of your neck. *lol*

Disappointingly, the new batch of Neons I so carefully QT and baby-ed, have the same white patches as the first batch of neons did that caused me to bleach bomb it in the first place. Fortunately it's about 1/10th as bad as the first infestation, but there it is. *sigh*

Strangely, the Sickly neons seemed to have recovered from the white patches in the Sickly bin.

I am seriously considering combining the old inhabitants with the new... the Quarantine failed, as they all ended up getting it anyway. Clearly all of them appear to be Survivors. (The only thing is I suspect the old fish have a case of fungus, I have to clear up first.)

That would push my stocking to:

(1) Dwarf Gourami
(10) Neons
(3) Otos

Considering that neons are small fish, that they school and bunch up together, and that they don't pooh much, am I causing a problem here?

Nice tank. I think the red plants bring out the color in the Neons. Good job.
