First i would like to say hello first time posting .Went to a new fish store about 20 minutes from my house and found the perfect tank 135 gallon for 649.00 oak cabinet very nice its a cristmas sale .My question is filter systems one idea was doing 2 emperor 400 and 1 canister fluval 404 or cascade 1500 . I own eheims not crazy for them low gph cant find parts local so i thought maybe doing a 404 or cascade dont now much about the cascade . So the good part the fish the fish i have a red and an albino oscar about 8 inch what else can be put in without overcroding big pleco or blood parrot or sevrume convicts ??? And my current 65 will become community tank .Cant wait im like little kid .

Freshwater tank that size, I'd do a wet/dry. Oh and if you ever wanna get rid of those old broken down Eheims pm me :)

The motor replacemant for the ehiem is 39 bucks got the filter for 75 is it worth fixing .

My honest opinion... I'd fix an Eheim before I'd ever buy a Fluval. I currently have 5 Eheim canisters and have never had any problems at all. I also own a Rena XP2 and a modified magnum HOT. Both are decent filters for the $. My only complaint about the XP2 is the plumbing kit it comes with, cheap is the first word that comes to mind. Other than that it's great. As far as the power filters, I've had great luck with the AquaClears but your tank is too large for those anyway.
