15,000 gallon koi pond

Here is "my" pond where I work. Built in 2000, it's the centerpiece of a Japanese garden. I'm the sole caretaker,/Chief God of the pond.Currently inhabited by 75-ish juvie koi and 18 adults and one 10 lb. channel catfish. I will be doing a major cull in the next month or so.

That's a real beauty ! The fish look really healthy and it's such a peacefull setting. Lovely, garden to all it needs is a sacred lotus , Nelumbo nucifera ;)
I'm in awe :bowing:

Very nice...is it a public or private garden?

Carpenter...

...plumber, electrician. It is a luxury day spa, and I am in charge of facility maintenence. We have one full time gardener, and one part time gardeners assistant. I am, however, the only one on staff who knows anything about ponds and fish, so by default it became "mine" :D. It was in poor shape when I took it over (the pond, not the garden) 4 years ago. The owner of the business was trying to rely on chemicals and other additives to correct every problem in the book, when all it needed was a few basic, but important changes such as increased water changes and some upgraded filtration. I have not had a sick fish or had to medicate or treat the pond with any chemical remedy since.
