15 gal

My pH was, according to the 1st guy, around 7.6, even with the bogwood in the tank. It's usually around 7.2.

Went back to the store today, and talked to the manager of the fish shipments.. fishroom stuff. He REALLY knows his fish, and he informed me that what the first guy told me was wrong. He tested my water, and told me the pH was 7.2. He gave me full credit for the rams, and I bought 3 tetras (though I knew what kind they were.... I can't remember now). My tank's light is off, and if I look in I can see them exploring. I may get 3 more, which means:

3-6x tetras
3x corydoras

So... what else should I add that's hardy/colorful and fits in with the 'Amazon' biotope?

Apisto species are great and colorful. I'd personally get either the A. borelli or viejita since I know the viejit aren't too aggressive and as far as I know the borelli aren't either and they would do fine in a slightly alkaline water, so would cockatoos but they can be a bit more work.

I love apistos! And it would be really cool to have them. If my lfs has them/I find I have room, then maybe I'll get a pair. But we'll see. After this, I'm still a little wary on my abilities
