I have a 150 gallon African Cichlid tank that my parents stocked - this was before I was really into fishkeeping, around a year ago.

We originally got 4 young Mbunas from PetSmart, one kenyi cichlid, one OB red blotched zebra, one melanochromis auratus, and one red zebra cichlid.
These fish grew up together, they were around an inch or so when we got them, now they’re much bigger.

Well, we stocked the tank and now we have around 22 cichlids and a pleco.
Now, my parents did stray away from the fish I said no to, thank goodness, but I did find that with the stocking, I’ve gotten a bit paranoid after some research.

Here’s a list of the stocking :

- x3 yellow tailed aceis
- x1 OB red blotch zebra
- x1 melanochromis johanni
- x1 melanochromis aurutus
- x1 metriaclima lombardoi
- x1 dragon blood peacock
-x2 bumblebee cichlids
-x1 electric yellow cichlid
-x1 red zebra cichlid
-x6 peacocks
-x1 blue dolphin

The genders of most of these fish are unknown, besides the melanochromis’, which are both males.
We have had breeding in the past, as we have found one fry before.

Now, I have heard that the bumblebee cichlids, kenyi cichlid, and auratus are very aggressive fish.

I have three ideas with what i could do :

1. I can remove these three fish and put them in a 65 gallon tank with other more aggressive cichlids (I am wary of this idea).

2. I can leave them in the 150 gallon.

3. I can remove the most aggressive of them.

If you have any ideas or suggestions please tell me! I’m very paranoid.
