Yesterday was a great day. I had been trying to sell my 55 and 45 gal to finance the 135 I want. Well a couple of weeks ago I sold a guy some guppies. Yesterday there was a knock at my door it was him with a buddy. He wants to trade me a 150 gal for my 55 amd 45. I went to look at last nite. Yea ha the deal is going down today. Im so excited like a kid on xmas morning. The only draw back is the stand its a diy, its very solid just not much to look at.I think Ill build me one. Man do I have my work cut out for me today. I love it.

:) I felt the same way when I got the OK from the wife to get the 90 for the basement. But the 29 is still upstairs with her angels in it. The big thing for me is that a PWC in the 90 represents the entire volume of the small tank. I built my own stand as well. I just couldn't bring myself to shell out 300$ for a stand that doesn't look like it could support 50lbs let alone 1000 with water and rocks and the like.

Got everything set up today, what a chore. Thats one big tank. Yes I will be building a stand. The one that came with well its rough but solid as a rock. But I want to test myself and see if I can build a quailty furniture grade stand. I wish I had good camera to take pics with but that will just have to wait.
Oh yea now Im gonna have to re-think my water changing procedures.I dont think the python is going to work very well needs umm.. more power!

wow your lucky someone should trade me a big tank for some smaller ones, cause i like the big fish! if that stand is wood, you can just get some nice paneling wood to put over the beat up frame, you can even put doors and shelves since the stand is already so solid. and try connecting the python to an outside faucet, i do that on big jobs.
