1g nano questions

The only problem with a powerhead is it will take up valuable space have you thought about external air pumps?

Yes, I have thought about external air pumps, and have excluded them becuase the sound of bubbles drive me crazy, and I will probably have to sleep in the same room as the tank. If a powerhead takes up to much spce, then maybe I could do a closd loop?

hmmmm.... i chuckled a bit when you mentioned a closed loop.... but it realy actualy is a very very good idea! heck, even make a sump with a 2.5 gallon! aha, that owuld be amusing. anyways, a closed loop would work great i would think with a small powerhead and some airline tubing, even just have it right behind it. it would be so small it would work. Or you can buy one of those tiny HOB filters that the beta tanks come it. i have bene thinking of setting up one as a little pico. i think it would be relativly amusing. The betta ones even come with a small 9 watt power compact.

Really what I get for water motion comes down to what I can find locally, same for lighting. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to set the tank up properly, but it's worth a shot.

I think a 1g would be too small unless you had some form of filtration. The mucus that is shed by the corals is actually poisonous and if all you are doing is blowing it around the aquarium with a powerhead, I doubt you can get the corals to live.

Ideally you would need a small HOB filter that is cleaned weekly or so, and filled with activated carbon. Also i would not want to be feeding that tank so i would put in corals that rely 100% of photosynthesis.

Xenia or coral morphs would be a good idea And also some macro algae

Ok, I'll try and get a HOB if, it's possible to find one small enough locally, if not, I''l scrap the idea. Too many problems have been brought to my attention, and I was hoping for this to be a simple(ish) set up to put together, but that has not been the case.
