Hey guys,
I was thinking about doing my 2.5 gallon with live plants and one or two small fish. Is it possible to have a planted tank at such a small size? Has anyone ever done anything like this or have any experience with it? Any other advice you could give?

Thanks!

I've got a 2.5g planted tank. It's low tech. I went with a subwassertang lawn, have a couple anubias, a java fern, some driftwood, and a few stem plants and floaters. One betta, two zebra nerites, and some blue ramshorn snails. No CO2, rare ferts, and a desk lamp with a CFl bulb for lighting. I have an azoo palm filter running on it. For water changes, I use a turkey baster to vac the subwassertang lawn. Works well, especially since my gravel vac won't fit in the tank due to the driftwood.

Thanks! I do have a top, it doesn't fit on all the way with the filter. And yeah, every now and then a nerite crawls out. Fortunately I find them in time, only one has dried out completely (not very smart snails). They also crawl into the filter but find their way out of it eventually.
