So I have one betta in a 2.5g that is currently cycling. I am about 18 days into the cycle. Temperature 78 degrees.
Yesterday's water readings were:
Ammonia .25
Nitrite .25
Nitrate 0
ph 7
I did one 50% water change and everything went down to 0.
Today's readings:
Ammonia <.25
Nitrite .25
Nitrate 0
After One Water Change:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite <.25
One More Change:
Nitrite 0
So I put the lights out in the tank and came home a few hours later, and he was "lying" behing the heater. Then I tried feeding him and he wouldn't eat! Now he's swimming around, but I'm wondering why he won't eat??? Could he be stressed from nitrites, even though there is none now? He was swimming near the bottom (odd!) and his face looks darker... Could he have just been groggy from "sleeping"? Maybe I'm worrying too much...
