hey guys and girls,

i have a 55 gallon tank as you know from my previous thread, Sand Vs. Gravel, and i was wondering if i could add 4 rainbow sharks or 4 redtailed sharks or 2 raibow and 2 red tails?? my tank looks empty the current in habitiants are:
1 raphael catfish
2 banded leporinus
2 african brown knifes
1 senegal bichir

all of them are still young at the moment..... i know that the fish may outgrow my tank and i will up grade once they become full size here are some pics.

can you see anything???? if what i suggested will not work, what will?? any suggestion would be apreciated!! thanks!!

Absolutely not a good idea. Redtail Sharks and Rainbow Sharks do not like their own kind or each other.

1 shark tops

:iagree:
I'm not sure on compatibility between the sharks and the other fish, but I can tell you from experience that in a 55g, you will NEVER safely house more than 1 red tail shark. I had initially purchased 2, expecting with plenty of territory that they would be fine. WRONG!! Those fish were :FIREdevil:toward each other. I ended up giving one of them to my aunt with an 80g, and she gave him away as he was too aggressive towards her Colombian Sharks!

Wow yea bad idea i was thinking having more than one would lower the agression... So what else can i get that wont hide all the time?

Just make it a rainbow tank. I have several and they are great, and never hide. The zoom around all the time.
