We originally set up this 20 gallon tank for platy fry, and we started tossing plant clippings in there from our other tanks. There are no light bulbs over it--it's in front of a window and just gets natural light. As you can see, the java moss is out of control. It's kind of a mess in there, but the betta loves it. We've had him now for about a month, so I wanted to post some pics of him and his jungle :)

He loves getting tangled up in his plants:

looks good, how about some pics with the light on.

There are no lights--just the light from the window.
There's not even a hood. I covered the top with some screen held on by metal clips. It's a VERY low tech tank :)

I have a bare bottom tank very much like that one, but it's a 15 that is full of plant tossings from other tanks...no light except for the light that comes through the floor of the 20long frag tank I have over the top of the 15. It's a really nice little setup that's just full of endlers right now, but I'm trying to come up with something nice to toss in there. It looks a lot like your 20 there Leah...very nice !
