200 gal. best offer gets it in Sandusky, Ohio
I need to get rid of this tank, so the best offer of cash or trade (for non-fish stuff as I am getting out of the hobby) gets it.
It is 6' long x 27" deep x 28" high and is approx 200 gallon capacity. Construction is 3/4" ply with 1/2" glass front. Interior is coated with a special 2-part epoxy paint in light blue. After curing this paint is very hard, waterproof, and non toxic. This is a construction type that is often used in public aquariums for tanks that are built in walls.
The outside is currently finished white, but could be painted any color. The tank was built to be installed inside of a cabinet or behind a wall. Also would make a good basement sump for a very large tank.
I have an skimmer box that hangs on the inside off the back wall of the tank to house a pump and skimmer, and it has a dark plexi front to hide the equipment from view. Since it is wood construction, the tank could easily be drilled for bulkheads to install an overflow. I also have a sheet of 1/2" glass that I could let go with it if someone wanted to add glass to the backside as well.
The tank was setup for 2+ years, and when I tore it down, I was able to use a razor blade on the epoxy surface to clean algae. The inside looks as good as the day I finished it. Pictures can be seen here. The uneven reflection on the back is silicone that I had used to attach a sheet of thin plexi to the inside and have since removed.
Pick up only, and I do have a truck and could work with a buyer on delivery if not too far away.
