mets and boston will meet in the world series.
even though boston lost one good player that is not falling apart. still having ortiz, ramirez, varitek, and trot. and picking up crisp and old man lowell. picking up beckett in there pitching was also good. schilling still has it in him along with wakefield, clement, and wells they can get the pitching done. and if they bow out early in a game they still have tavarez, timlin, and papelbon w/ (25) saves for papelbon to back em up. Loretta at 2nd is starting to pick up also to his right at ss is gonzalez gaining some numbers as well. Youklis is getting his name knowed covering first. i see know need for trading b4 the deadline for the sox unless it is to get nomar back. you seen the numbers he is putting up for the dodgers. has to be killing the red sox and the cubs minds right now.
the mets can do it
comon reyes, wright, delgado, beltran and lo duca batting 1 thru 5. that makes a pitcher work thru the 1st inning. even though the first 5 mentioned have almost 30 errors when combined. pitching is slack but not on the behalf of martinez, glavine and trachsel. They need someone reliable in there bullpen other than sanchez and wagner. yes some in there bullpen having winning numbers but only by one or two. trades to try to make b4 the deadline i would say pitchers well needed. specially in there pen and maybe get another in rotation.
cubs man keep your fingers crossed that after this season dusty gets fired. sorry to say but when you are given the players and the pitchers that the cubs have seen come and go you should have had a world series ring or at least see what the post season looks like. If the pitchers could stay healthy maybe they might win a few more. woods and prior were supposed to be the pitchers to carry the cubs but why is zambrano the only one i can say is doing his job and staying of the dl. zambrano is the best pitcher on the cubs right now. to hell with woods and prior. anyone know of another pitcher that can go to the plate and smash a home run like him. i seen him say b4 a game i am gonna hit a homerun and then get out there and do it. get rid of woods for a decent pitcher that can stay healthy.
