They breed like rabbits and are excellent parents. Mom will guard the fry in front of the shell where they will hide and dad will guard the territory from intruders, not allowing them to get close to the fry. At a given time, you will have to thin some fry due to overstocking. As fry develop, they will not eat their newer siblings; so you can have in your tank a few generations of them. Enjoy them!
My multis haven't spawned yet, probably because they're in community tanks. First they where in my tropical tank, and they never used the shells I gave them, then I put them in my tang. tank and they are a bit more interested in the shells, probably because of the larger fish in there. Eventually I'll get them their own tank because I want them to spawn.
Well sorta.. DUH.. yeah so i emptied the tank and safely moved it to the bottom of the tank stand i placed a piece of plywood that was painted black to match the iron stand for the tank to sit on so when i filled the water back in i didn't quite get it all the way over i believe i was off like an inch so heck i just reached down and push it over what could happen well breaking the glass down the middle is what happened and wow i never felt so stupid before.. the clean up of water and foul smelling wet carpet wont do that again hehehe yes even seasoned hobbyist like myself end up doing a newb error..
