Ok. My kids and I finally got our tank cycled (actually about 3 weeks ago). 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, somewhere between 10 and 20 Nitrate (depending on the lighting and angle) using an API kit.
The original plan was to move my son's betta from his small tank and my daughter's platy from her small tank to this 20. But now they want to keep them in their rooms and so we're going to upgrade their tanks to at 10 gallon. But thats a whole different story.
Anyway, about early October, we added 5 panda cories and they were doing quite well. This past week we added 6 neon tetras. So after a week they all seem fine. Since the kids don't want to move their fish, I'm looking for suggestions on what to add if I have more room.
We have a whisper 30 filter running with some fake plants but we're already in the works for going live soon.
BTW, the kids love how the fish stay in groups. They've been so used to solitary fish.
