Had a good Sat at the Colorado Aquarium Society auction. The fact that the kids got bored around 2 was probably best on the wallet.

Couldn't resist the urge to start my invert tank.

Only ten so far, and only a couple are this size, but hopefully in a month or so, there will be me.

Resisted the urge to start with the Crystal Reds.

When I was in Maui I went to this nursery that sold mostly exotic birds and bonsai trees but they also sold micro-lobsters. Are those popular in the aquarium world?

I keep the "Micro Lobsters" (Halocaridina rubra). I have 28 in a 1.5 Gallon Nano. They are awesome and bullet proof. Not commonly kept nor available... but I see a fellow has them on Ebay now.

I really like them. They top out at about 1/2 inch. Neat little critters. :dance2:

Ha! Just saw your location! You can get them easily and you can keep about 100 in a 5 gallon salt/brackish tank.

Hmmm

Musta been a busy day for the new tank. Wife texts me this morning in the office asking if shrimp shed skin. When I reply in the positive she says "good, cause there are like four of them scattered around." I took the molt as a good sign.

Then when I get home and take a look, I notice one of them is berried already after two days. I don't recall seeing her in that condition when we put them in there, so it must be a new thing.

Seem to really enjoy Omega One veggie disks as well. Its like blood in the water the way it attracts their attention.
