30 gallon lighting Helide?

i have a 12 k halide and l like the color it is on the left of the tank 48" and 2 55 what pc's on the right one 10k one 50/50 looks
You're great. Even though 20000K lamps have lower PAR values than lower color temp lamps, 250 watts over that tank will have plenty of light of the right spectrum for anything.
What brand are the lamp and ballast. It turns out that the industry standards are so spotty that there's quite a difference depending on the manufacturer.

The bulb is a coral life and the balast is actually a ballast from a MH street lamp that my work was going to throw out.
I reconfigured the connection and bought a reflector from homedepot. I lined the reflector and inside of the tank with Milar (very reflective)
I am trying to figure a way to mount a heatsink or something that will help the heat exchange. I have three pc fans blowing but I think i can still do better.
