Hello everyone,
I have a question, i have been into planted aquariums for quite some time and i have a couple 96 watt 36 inch jbj fixtures left over. I was wondering if that was enough light for a 40 gallon or 30 gallon. If so would the tank size make a large impact on what kind of corals if any i could have?
Also what are some recommondations for a protein skimmer for such a small tank?

Thank you for the help

With that much light, you could certainly keep almost any soft coral, plus a range of hard corals. Some small-polyped species, like montipora, as well as large polyped corals, like frogspawn, will do very well.
The main impact of the size is keeping the corals from stinging each other and limiting chemical warfare. If you keep a lot of softies, it will probably be a good idea to run carbon 24/7.
As far as skimmer, my recommendation would be the AquaC Remora unless you have a sump.
