Maybe I can slowly add some sand next time to one side of the tank to raise it to around 4. I've never added sand to an established tank, is the best way to go to put it in a bucket with a heater, powerhead, and some water in case of any die off? I want him to be happy, I figured there so much LR with caves (which my octopus used in the past) he'd be OK...didn't know the bed needed to be deeper.
