Take a close look for cracks in the glass, specially in the bottom corners and borders, where it's likely to be hit when transporting.

If the glass is not cracked, fill it to the top with water and let it sit for some time (the more the best. ). Make sure the walls are dry in the outside and watch for leaks. You can let it there fro 3 days to be safe: better a leak in the garden than a leak in the living room.

If the tanks doesn't leak, it's good to start. to cleant it, rub the inside with a strong bleach solution (2 water, 1 bleach) and a sponge to make sure you kill any microorganism present. Thatn rinde it 3 times using water with a lot of
declhrinator.

After that, your tank is ready to start your new community.

Also, check that the seals are intact and not brittle or anything. It is usually not worth having to reseal a used tank, all the hassle is easier to just buy a new one... Good luck, I've bought all my tanks used and never had a problem :thm:
