55 gallon glass canopy

Hey everyone.......I will soon be getting a new Coralife 48" Compact Flourescent Lighting system for my 55 gallon tank. I'm really excited! I will also be needing a glass canopy. My 55g is from Walmart and has the center brace. Should I get 2 24" glass canopies, or a 48"? I've read where some that get the 2 24" are too big. Will a 48" be cut into two separate pieces for a center brace? I'm really confused on which one to get. Thanks!

My 55g has a center brace and has a coralife 48" lighting sytem with day and night lighting on it. I have 4 glass canopy top sections on the tank each piece measures

23" long x 4 3/4" wide

and works perfectly. i have siliconed handles onto the 2 front glass pieces so i can lift them to feed my fish.

When you buy a 55g glass canopy their should 4 cut glass sections each measuring the above specs.
