55 Gallon....Help....Suggestions

Hi...
I'm looking for fake plants to put in my 55 gallon tank, any suggestions on using plastic or silk (which one to use)? Also, any suggestions what to use, I know everybody has there own taste but I would like some ideals.

I just buy the ones at WlMart. Various sizes and types. Just rinse thm real good before you put them in there and why not let a few of them float for a realistic feel for the fish. In fact, I have at least 4-5 bigger fake plants left floating since I keep mollies. They really love it.

I find the silk ones sort of deteriorate after a while...maybe it's the algae? Anyway, I'd recommend plastic. Like said above, I'd get a variety of types and a few to float at the top. I'm not a fan of purple and blue, etc., just natural looking ones.

the top finn ones from walmart are pretty inexpensive (smallest ones are about $1), but i have found that real plants are acctually cheaper

i have all fake plants. how do you clean the bottom with real plants? do you have to vaccume as much or do the plants eat the poo?

vacuum around the plants...they wont "eat" poo but they will take in nitrates and ammonia...
