mechanic said:My male red devil absolutely dwarfed my adult tiger Oscar.
The O is 12" and my devil was 14" and had alot larger girth.
They were in different tanks obviously but if you think a 55 is too small for a Oscar, its WAY too small for a adult red devil.

Alot of people keep Severums or Jack Dempsey's with their Oscar's.
Silver dollars make good dithers too if you want some of those.
I had an oscar in my 55 until it was 12'' then it went to a friends 125 with a dempsey. Definitely needs more than a 55.Gian krlo said:not all oscar reach 13" most stay at 10" or 11"![]()
I have some pics, not sure if I can get them to work on this site.Ross_328 said:Thanks for the help have you got any pictures of your fish or not and what oscars can you get and what is the differences between them

Cylon said:Might I sugest a Jack Dempsey or 2. Maybe 1 Jack and a TX Cichlid. Jacks get 8 to 10 Inches and they will eat feeders.
My Tx Cichlid loved feeders and they are slow growers I think they also reach 10 inches.
You also can do 1 Convict and 1 Jack Dempsey. Cons are 2 small to eat feaders but they are agressive fish.
