Preacox is my fave aussie rainbowfish they stay small and are active the only other small rainbows would be threadfins and celebes with the latter 2 being very timid they all stay around the 2 inch mark..

Preacox should be available at your local petshop there one of those staple fish in the hobby if not see if your local pet shop can get them on their list.. also try one of those chain petshops like petco, petsmart or petsupermarket if your local mom n pop shop cant get them..

As of right now my sun spot brevis is my fave shellie their pretty cool in all but that will change once i get my meleagris.. later buddy..

what are meleagris? and none of the stores stock praecox but the family owned stores can probrobly order them for me, but they tend to be expensive.

P.S. do you have anyfish for sale that i might be interested in pitbull?

wait are you sure on the austrailians. bcuz everywhere i read it says they get 5in and males get bigger.

Praecox Rainbow (Melanotaenia praecox) attain 2 to 3 inches, Threadfin rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri) attain 2 inches, Celebes (Marosatherina ladigesi) attain 3 to 4 inches sorry about the specifics ifish on sizes they all stay around 2 to 3 inch mark..

The only fish i have available is some Neolamp Multi's and 3 small Julidochromis Ornatus 1 inch mark.. i really dont sell fish but we are experiencing a ice storm here i usually give them away or trade them for stuff.. i am looking into shipping some here soon but honest i would rather wait due to the freezing temps right now i need to ask a few more questions before i begin to give them out like heat packs and the sort..

I do have those Kordon breather bags which are cool for shipping but no heat packs we are getting that storm that pounded Texas in the form of ice..

Which ones are you talking about all three above are austrailian rainbowfish well some will argue that the celebes and threadfins arent aussies but do you have another one in mind..

Pittbull is right about the Praecox size. I have 5 adults right now; 3 of them born in my 5gal QT. M. boesemani adults are 5-6 inches long.

wow those are awsome! they sound expensive.

Oh ok i see what you were saying now yeah those are more like the regular rainbows and yes these do get pretty big well around the 5 to 6 inch mark that is..

Yeah just google those names i gave you of the smaller rainbows and you should get plenty of hits with info buddy..
