6 gallon tank

are there any algae eaters or other fish that will "clean" the bottom of a 6 gallon tank or is this size tank too small?

I want to keep either a betta or a gourami in the tank, but am looking for another fish to help with the "clean up" on the tank bottom, if possible. If the tank is too small, no big deal, I'll just keep the betta.

I say it's too small, even for a betta, but that's my opinion. Just keep up on gravel vacs and it should be fine.

as long as you are not overfeeding, excess waste build-up on the bottom will not be a problem. any debris that does accumulate can be removed during weekly water changes.

Ghost shrimp will help with detritus. So will some snails.

That's a good idea.

 

[Lupin]

Bettas and some gouramis will eat the shrimps especially when they molt. Best bet would be sparkling gouramis.
