I have had my 72 gallon tank set up for about 9 months and I finally decided to convert to a planted aquarium. I bought the following and sold my stock of fish through craigslist and purchased quarter sized angel fish with the profit. I plan on this tank being a planted angelfish show tank that is in my living room.

Supplies:
1 Shop Light
2 Phillips 48", 40 Watt Planted Aquarium Light Bulbs
1 Bag of Eco-Complete
1 50lb. Bag of Quickcrete Gravel
1 Expensive piece of driftwood which I returned for Malaysian wood
Assorted Plants- 2 Anubias, 2 bamboo plants, 1 Aqua Fern, 1 Peacock Fern, 1 Wysteria, and others.
1 Piece of Wood f/m my Basement which I cut into two Pieces and stained for the light risers.

New Stock List:
2 Golden Marble Angelfish
1 Zebra Lace Angelfish
1 Gold Angelfish
1 Chinese Algae Eater
1 Emerald Corycat
1 Julie Corycat
1 Skunk Corycat
1 Octocinclus (died 12-12-09, RIP)

I will be posting pics of the setup and the final display later tonight when the water gets much clearer.

I'm not sure I'd keep a CAE in there... They're known to get very large and quite aggressive. I'd be afraid they would kill off those beautiful angel fish...

The cories need to be in groups - at least 3 per individual species is my understanding. More is better.

If any of the Angels pair off, they may become very territorial, but hopefully the 72 gallon setup will be big enough to allow them to establish territory that leave some room for the others. If you have enough plants and hiding spots, this may not be as much of an issue.

Looking forward to pics. :)

forgot to mention the other cory cat,4 in all, each one is a different species...seems like they love playin tag:D so here's the pics of when I set the tank up w/ the driftwood:

Great job! :) I can't wait to see everything grown in place. I think your project will look great.

In regards to your cories, I think they should be fine. I've had different species of cories "school" together. As for the Chinese Algae Eater, I would not recommend it. Siamese Algae Eaters are fairly peaceful animals but I've heard horror stories about Chinese Algae Eaters attaching themselves to swimming fish.

here's the fishies, I am considering moving the CAE into my monster tank, I'm weary though because I put a regular 8" pleco in their over the summer and he was destroyed within a week:(
