75 gallon reef setup

Well I'm new to this and i'm just trying to do everything right the first time.... Its hard to ask questions about things i don't really understand.... I'm not sure what kinds of coral i'm going 2 keep in my tank yet but i'm looking for sujestions... maybe people could sujest to me how they would go about setting up a standard 75 gallon tank to make it an amazing coral reef... keep in mind that for helping me i would like build sump and refugium ..... so please sujest ...... i want to know how the pros would do it...

We've given you a few threads to look at and recommended one of the best books out there. It isn't that we won't answer specific questions but if you'd read those you'll have a foundation to start asking questions for your own dream reef versus mine or the next poster's. We'll make suggestions, we'll help as much as we can but we need you to do a bit of reading so that our answers are meaningful to you.

I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but I would read the book suggested prior. As helpful as everyone is here, that's a massive question you're asking. How someone would go about setting up a tank to make it a reef is quite the undertaking.

I'd point you to the book as well. There are a lot of options to choose from, money comes in to play, skill in do it yourself, etc. I do far more reading than posting. I want to educate myself on all the options and then decide for myself how I want to go about it.

Mandy, I swear I've not stopped reading on the topic in the past 7-8 months. Each thing you read causes a new question, you go out and get opinions on it and then you research some or most of those opinions. Never ends, but I love it.

Going on two years here and I still read on reefs an hour or more a day.

i have been reading for over 4 hours each night for the past 2 months. im not exaggerating. i need to be doing homework instead of reading threads and looking up info on equipment.

I'm guessing no one that is into this hobby ever stops reading stuff. There is always something new to learn. Heck, I read the same things over and over again. I read about anything and everything to do with marine tanks or ocean life instead of what I should be reading for my masters degree. I'm glad I'm not alone in wanting to read all I can :)
