I'm getting a 75 gallon tank in Janurary.

I know for a fact that my 2 Clown Loaches and my 2 Senegal bichirs are going in it.I figure I could also put my 5 Danios in there since they are so quick they most likely won't be eaten by the birchirs.

I already know my substrate, read a post on it,since my tank will be planted.

I'd like to put 2 filters on the tank. What brand and size would you use?Would a single canister be a better idea?

Also will I be able to add any other fish and if so what would you recommend?

Would oto catfish work with these guys or are they to slow therefore food for the birchirs? If they won't work what would be a good alage eater for this setup?

im not sure the otos are such a good idea mabey a bristle nose pleco since they are a little bigger but they dont get huge

You could use a 100 gallon rated canister. If you could afford buying/running two, a lot better. I have a Penplax Cascade 1000 Canister Filter, and it works great, easy to maintain and almost soundless.

I have this small 4-5" bichir that chases and eats feeder guppies. Your danios might be in danger, specially in a planted tank, where the bichir can hide among the leaves.
Also, i had two otos. Since last week, I'm missing one. I believe it became food for either a stingray or a clown knife, but if my bichir was bigger, I'd blame it on him.

What about some kuhuli loaches? Will they be eaten by the birchirs?

If the Danios will become birchir food what would be a good mid/top level fish to add to the tank.I've looked at some sites that showed other african fish that people had paired with them but wasn't interested in them.

Ok I found another site that shows some of the dwarf Cichilids.I'm thinking I'll go with them because they'll add color and aren't overly aggressive.

Should I just get a pair or 2? I don't want to overload the tank.

Anyone want to throw out some fish that are easy to take care of and will work with my water parameters in my signature?

2 Aqua Clear 70's (old 300 models) would be more than enough--some might even say perfect.

otos would work

Most likely
If the Danios will become birchir food

dwarf Cichilids.I'm thinking I'll go with them because they'll add color and aren't overly aggressive.
You really need cichlids the size of kribs at a minimum anything smaller will most likely
become food
