75 planted equiptment and stock

I am looking to get a new 75 gallon tank with the following intentions...
I want to get it planted, with a good quality substrate for plants. Get some nice real driftwood in there, anybody know a good place to get some? For my stocking ideas, I am considering either putting a pair of Oscar in there, or doing a lot of freshwater community fish. What would be a nice equipment load out I should get? All I know I want is a good quality canister filter this time around (I've been using power filters) Any and all ideas would help! Thanks!

Oscars will make a complete mess out of a planted tank.

There are a few people here that sell some neat driftwood. I would check out the classifieds.

yeah oscars get so big they need to be in a 100g tank really. but if you want the big guys just do some big wood and the oscars
a 75 planted tank can be nice and you will need a nice light if you want to go all out planted. you can do a low light tank and make it look good if you use a t-5 fixture or maybe a 65wx4 fixture like the oddyssey brand stuff.

Jpappy pointed you to the right spot about the driftwood.

I don't recommend Oscars especially a pair in a planted tank. That's a big no no. I advice on going with a community fish. In a footprint of a 75G, you have so many fish species you can do such as Angelfish and Discus. Good equipment would be a canister filter, might get two of them for good filtration. I've had good experience with my Rena Filstar XP2 on my 38G. You might consider getting the XP4 of going with maybe an XP3 and XP2 or something similar.
