Ive been itching to see a school of bala sharks for a while and TADA!!! A MFKer comes along and shows me some. Amazing tank. I would be oh so tempted to go snorkeling in that tank lol :) ive never those types of cichlids in a community tank but you somehow managed to do it. Kudos to you and once again amazing tank

Thanks for the kinds words. I don't actually have any Bala Sharks...I have four Cyclocheilichthys janthochir that are sometimes called Red Fin Bala Sharks but were you maybe referring to the WideBar Silver Dollars?

I'm thinking about getting rid of the Albino Oscar...I notice that at dusk he goes into predatory mode although he seems to be too slow to catch anyone.

I envy you lol

Really nice tank. Wow.

Thanks for the kudos. I'm not sure why, but the video I posted is showing up like it's a picture. If you click on it, it's a short video of me feeding them their New Life Spectrum pellets.

It's a shape thing. A 12" Oscar can easily swallow an 8" torpedo shaped Rasbora. But it wouldn't be able to handle a 4" Silver Dollar. Time will almost certainly tell!

Two years later...so far the Oscar hasn't eaten another fish. He can easily swallow the female Aruilius Barbs, but he seems content with his pellets.

The Oscar still may have another few inches to grow (he's probably 10 or 11" now), so hopefully he continues to stick to his pellet-only diet.

New pics?

Haven't taken any pix recently...here's the last video I took.

Water is kinda cloudy because I had just fed them.
