Since my Convict & Texas cichlid have had babies, I had to move my fish into a bigger tank so I bought an 80 gal :D

In my 80 there is a Green Severum, Parrot, Red Jewel, and an Electric Yellow Lab and I just added a Salvini cichlid as well.

The largest of the fish is the Parrot that I brought home from work. He was in a over stocked 25 gal that had no heater and he was only fed fish flakes. Poor guy!

I was thinking of adding an Oscar and a Jack Dempsey because the LFS has some that are the same size as my current fish. (except the parrot who is the largest)

This pic is when I first moved him into my tank before the fry came along. Now he is in the 80 and he is a very very vivid orange.

I would add the dempsey but not both the dempsey and the oscar.

Oscars just get too dang big. With the other fish in your tank it's best to just forget about putting in an O.

Yes I relize that now. I really wish I had the room and $$ to buy a 150 gal tank!

I think I might just ad a Firemouth and leave it at that. Spend some more money on some different rock structures.

That's a good idea.

Remember your fish will grow.

Overstocking a tank is no fun (not saying yours is) .

Ya I just bought a 33g setup for $150 CAD with a nice oak stand so now I have 3 tanks. I can move the africans there and get another fish in the 80.
