80 Gallon Tank Pics

A member suggested I post some "full tank" pictures. Here they are....

The plants need some more 'grow-in' but they're doing good. There's a dark piece of driftwood on the right - kinda hard to see from the pics.. There's also a real nice piece on the left, but plants cover most of it.

The gap in the cabinet doors needs adjustment. There's a way to do that I'm sure.

Most cabinent hinges have a set screw that you can loosen, adjust the set of the door and re-tighten.

Really nice discus and plants, as always. Isn't it a bummer to get a gorgeous chunk of wood, and then never be able to see it after the plants take over?

What is the block on the lower left? Sensor of some kind?

Very nice tank. I just set up a 40 gal long planted tank and I have two super red discus on hold for me until the tank is fully cycled. I hope mine can turn out as nice as yours.

Nice tank...I LOVE all the plants, but it seems like you have too many fish even for such a HUGE tank...

Sweet, like the plants... my friend's a big discus fan too, they get pretty dam big with good feeding... you may need a bigger tank when those grow to be full sized

One Discus per 10 gallons of tank water is good...
I do want a 135 gallon! Wanting, and having are so completely different!

OrionGirl, the "block" on the lower left is the algae scraper or magnet. Pull it across the glass and it cleans it....

Actually, yours are pretty large, about 5-6 inches? They only have a few 3-4 to be max size from my understanding... you could probably get away with that tank in that case...

They're a challenging fish to keep too, so nice work so far.
