9 inch clown loach value

Deffinately not worth that much. I have older endlers than that that have gone for less than 1$ each.

I talked to the LFS about that the other day and he said every time he gets a 6" Clown in he sells it for like $75 the next day? He said there was a 9" loach offered to him but it would have to sell for somewhere around the price you saw there so he passed.

I don't believe that at all.

ive seen $30-60 around here. granted i just found the motherlode of tiny ones

I know some people like to buy huge fish for big tanks etc... but think about it this way...

why would you pay an outrageous amount of money for a fish that is already nearing the end of its life? lol

but a baby one for $10.. and grow it yourself

that seller is a moron

uh, loaches live a while...9" isnt full size for them either...

Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for. Fish shops double the price of everything they get in (except for saltwater stuff & Tanks - ok and maybe a few other things also lol) ANYWAY, Thats how they stay open. Take into account the death's, food, rent, cost for help. Its not cheep. I know this local guy well as I use to work for him 13 years or so back. I have shopped there for close to 20 years now (YA i am not a teenager anymore). I consider him a friend and if he says thats what they cost. Guess what, Thats What They Cost!

Have fun.

I'm still not convinced a school of 9" clown loaches should cost the same as good used car.

Sorry arkangel, I wasn't trying to offend you or your friend personally, but I have to agree that the pricing is outrageous. Stores shouldn't have to inflate prices that much to cover costs, otherwise they're either doing something wrong or just overpricing.

i recommend you shop around and also ask yourself do you really need a 9" clown loaches?

Really this is just nature of business and keeping business running, if there is no demand the price should drop. if you are not willing to pay that price that's fine... if they are not willing to drop the price that's fine too it just mean there won't be any sales
