Hello,
I have a 95 gallon tank. I have 3 baby silver dollars, 2 plecos and 6 loaches.
At my local fish store they have some golden Severums. Would 1 of them go ok with my tank? And even with a few more silver dollars to make up the school? Or what mixture without overcrowding?
or what else should I get for my tank?
thanks

Hello, welcome to the site.

What are the dimensions of thew tank? Length and width?

Do you know what kind of silver dollars? There are quite a few species sold as silver dollars or with silver dollar in the name. Most run from 5 to 8 inches around, but some can be over a foot, dinner plate sized.

What kind of loaches? Again, we're talking a group of fish that can range anywjere to a few inches to over a foot in length.

Did you get common plecos, or a specific type? There are a number of sofferent species sold as common plecos, that can range from 10 inches to over 2 feet.

If you're not sure of what species you have, post pictures of your fish and folks herre can take a shot at identifying them. Depending on the answers to these questions, you may not be able to add anything to your tank and may have more fish than your tank can support comfortably already.

What type of plecos and what’s the dimensions of the 95? I think a severum is fine, but I’m asking the dimensions because of the silver dollars

The silver dollars, but also the loaches. I'm thinking of clown loaches, in which case there probably isn't much room for anything even if it's at least a 5' tank. But I've never heard of a 95 gallon before so I'm wondering what the dimensions are.

Agreed, I haven’t heard of a 95 either. I missed the loaches, but ya if they’re clowns, and he has common plecos, he’s gonna need to upgrade or sell n replace.

Hello,
Tank is length 150cm, height 50cm and length 50cm.
I think they are just common silver dollars. I’ll attach a picture.
I have 5 clown loaches approx 3-4inches.
1 common pleco and 1 sail fin pleco. Both approx 20cm.

thank you

I’m in Australia so maybe that’s why you haven’t seen a tank like mine. I’m sorry if my conversions are out.

The loaches are ok for while since clown loaches are slow growing, but they can get well over 12”. The common pleco is going to be a little more urgent of a problem. I’ve seen them close to three feet, they’re extremely messy and pretty fast growing.
