Here's a few pictures. First the jungle. I probably have 100 swords trying to grow out of this tank. I am managing to get rid of some on Criag's list, but the rest are going to have to be donated to the LFS. Also note the purple flowers that are starting to grow. I think they are pretty cool, and I haven't seen them before this week.

Next the discus tank, a full shot, and some individual discus. These two are actually LFS purchases, who have filled out quite nicely.

(click this one, it looks better that way)

And finally my little helper, pointing out a cory, and showing off some of dad's trimmings. The extra hands during a water change don't really make things go any faster, but it sure is more fun with his help!

Wow! You're discus tank is amazing! :jaw: And the fish are beautiful.
I like that you're training the little one early. He's cute! Good job all around!

Nice tank!

Tanks are stunning.

simply amazing

and your photography skills are nothing to look past either

Thanks for the kind words.

I do have to say I borrow my brothers camera for the photos. He's got a really nice digital SLR. I did buy him the macro lens, which helps things turn out nice for the little fishies!

Here's one more of the big blue discus, this time with a flash. He really looks pretty close to this color when the sun shines through the window on the tank.

great shots. what kind of lighting do you have on your tanks? any co2?

The 75 gallon tank has about 220 Watts of power compatct lights. I built 1 bank out of stuff from AH Supply and totally recommend them. The other set is just a store bought 4' long power compact. So a total of 4 x 55 Watt bulbs. I also run 2 Rena XP filters, and on one of them I dose CO2 into the intake.

The other tank is a 95 gallon corner tank, it has no CO2, very little filtration, and a 250 Watt Metal Halide. I like this light, and the plants do too. The only problem is they grow into it and burn, as you can see from the charred tip on the one my boy is holding!

The photo of your son holding the decaying sword leaf is hilarious!!! Very exciting to see him getting an early start.

That discus on the far left in the FTS is stunning!!!!! Unbelievable colors! Nice darios, I just got some for myself about a week ago. One of the more entertaining fish that I've kept.

The discus on the far letf there is called "Grover". He is about 10 years old now, and was purchased by my brother originally at maybe 2 inches. He has been through various tanks, including a very poorly maintained 20 gallon, which we eventually rescued him from. So now he can live out his golden years in this 75.
