well my ph before i set up the co2 was 7.4 now its 7.0 my gH is off the charts. not sure on my kH though. how exaclty does a drop checker work?

drop checker contains 4dkh solution(standard) and some ph reagent. Once placed inside the tank the gas goes from the tank travels to the drop checker and diffuses in the solution there. The solution will turn either
blue = low co2
green= good co2
yellow= 2 much
blue = low co2
green= good co2
yellow= 2 much
