A lot can happen in a week *PICS*

Here is the 45 gallon tank, the tank that provided a lot of the plants for the 135 gallon tank shown above. This tank is also just Java Fern and Crypts (my other loach tank)

That was my thought as well Hans. I'm heading to my LFS when they get their shipment in today. I got some larger chinese algae eaters on order from them. most of the ones they have are only 2-3 inches long and would be lunch in my oddball tank. I tried flagfish but they were a waste and now food. Only one left.

I have a 30 gal with two loaches in it and they raised heck on my swords and I'm going to remove them. So I may follow your lead and just leave my low light (the tank has 1.5 w/gal) with tough leaved low light species like anubias, java ferns, and buy some crypts. My loaches have actually helped me propgate my java fern by nibbling it and sending plantlets all over to root to driftwood or other structures and begin growing.

I originally bought 3-4 jave ferns.. about a tennis ball sized masses. That was 2 years ago... The larger leaved species Java Fern was a hitchiker with my Betta that I got as a birthday present 3-4 years ago

Lights in the 45 gallon tank are just a pair of 40 watt Hagen PowerGlo's
