? about water pumps

Greetings all!

I am in the market for a water pump for the refu. that I am building. has anyone used a ViaAqua Water Pump? If so what are your results? I found them on Dr. Smith/Fosters website on sale and looked like a good deal. Just wanted to check out if anyone has used them B 4 I buy them.

I bought one from Foster Smith with a protein skimmer, i think I got the 4600 model, it was the one of sale... It works fine but it's a bit on the loud side considering how small it is.

If you don't mind a slight hum/buzz it's a good pump for the money in my experience. If your like me though, it will get annoying.

I haven't used them on my tanks, but I have helped my neighbor set up one on his sump. He has had no problems/complaints so far with the ViaAqua, but I think it is a bit noisy. Then again, I think everything is noisy, so take that with a grain of salt.
